1. General Terms

• These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Tranquil Tides services, the website and the online booking system.

• The business reserves the right to amend these terms at any time, and any changes will be reflected on this page.
   

2. Services

• Tranquil Tides offers various wellness services, including Massage Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Body Contouring and other treatments.

• Service details, pricing, and availability are listed in an online booking system and are subject to change.
   

3. Booking and Appointments

• All appointments are subject to availability.

• You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details when booking online.

• Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete the necessary forms and ensure you receive the full treatment time.

 

4. Contra-Indications

• Certain contraindications may prevent everyone from being suitable for body contouring treatments, lymphatic drainage or massage sessions.

• These conditions could prevent the treatments from being safe and effective.

• A medical consultation is required to ensure the treatment is appropriate for you.

• If you are unsuitable for body contouring, massage therapy, or lymphatic drainage, I will recommend alternative options or let you know if any adjustments can be made.

5. Cancellation or No Shows Policy

• Tranquil Tides requires a minimum of 48 hours notice for any appointment cancellation.

• Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will be charged at 100% of the treatment cost.

• If you are a new client booking your first appointment, any late cancellations within 48 hours or failure to attend will result in the full cancellation fee being applied.

• Cancellation fees may only be waived in genuine exceptional circumstances such as medical emergencies, accidents or injury, bereavement, emergency surgery, immediate family hospitalisation, or severe unsafe weather conditions.

• Please understand that routine illnesses, colds, bugs, childcare issues, or minor ailments will not usually exempt appointments from the cancellation policy, as appointment spaces are reserved exclusively and are often unable to be refilled at short notice. However, I understand that genuine situations can arise. If you are a regular, reliable client and it is your first late cancellation, the fee may be reduced or waived at my discretion depending on the circumstances. A second late cancellation will incur the full appointment charge.

• If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you can do so for free any time up until 48 hours before your appointment. 

6. Body Contouring and Courses Policy

• Cancellations: Tranquil Tides requires at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel a body contouring session.  If you fail to cancel within this time frame, you will lose your course space for that session and cannot reschedule it within the package.
   

• Course Duration: It is strongly advised to book 4, 6 or 8 sessions as a course for the best results to ensure consistent progress and maximum benefits. Treatments must be spaced 7-10 days apart for optimal results and effectiveness of body contouring. Instalment options are available.

• Instalments: Instalment options for courses are available. All body contouring courses must be paid in full by the end of the final session. Depending on the course length, payment can be split into 2, 3, or 4 instalments. For example, a 6-session course will be split into three instalments: the first payment is due at the start of the first session, the second payment at the fourth session, and the final payment at the sixth session. Each instalment is payable after the clinic session.

• Refunds: Body contouring treatments are non-refundable once a session has been completed. However, I am happy to discuss course extensions or adjustments in specific circumstances, provided they are requested within the course's validity period.
   

• Body Contouring Treatment Plan Consultation: An initial consultation is compulsory before beginning any body contouring treatments. During this session, we will assess your suitability for treatment, discuss your goals, and design a personalised treatment plan. The consultation fee will be applied to your treatment plan if you move forward. However, the fee will be refunded if you are not eligible for treatment. Please note that the consultation fee is non-refundable if you choose not to proceed with the treatment.

 

• ​​Course Expiry: All body contouring courses must be completed within the specified time frame, with sessions scheduled 7-10 days apart. For example, a 4-session course must be completed within 40 days. Any sessions remaining after this period will be forfeited, and no extensions will be granted unless otherwise specified.

7. Payment

• All payments are to be made in clinic after your session via bacs, cash or credit or debit card.

• Instalment options are available for treatment courses. Please see above.​

• Gift vouchers are available for purchase and are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

9. Privacy Policy

• Tranquil Tides remains committed to protecting your privacy. The following outlines practices regarding collecting and using your personal information.
   

• Information collected: Personal information you provide when booking an appointment, such as your name, email address, phone number and payment details. 
   

• ​How your information is used: Your personal information is used to process bookings, communicate with you about your appointments, and send relevant marketing communications if you’ve opted in.

• Data security: Tranquil Tides takes appropriate measures to protect your data, including encrypting payment details. Your payment information is not stored.
   

• Your rights: You can access, correct, or delete your personal information anytime. You can also unsubscribe from marketing communications.

10. Cookies Policy

• Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit websites. They are used to improve your browsing experience by remembering your preferences and providing personalised content.

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed following the laws of the United Kingdom.

• Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of UK courts.
